ScentGlade is a concept fragrance house built on one botanical fact. A clearing is the only part of a forest that receives full sun, so it is where almost everything aromatic grows. Every composition is one glade, at one hour.
The premise
Not a forest. A clearing in one.
Under a closed canopy almost no direct light reaches the ground, and very little that is fragrant grows there. Where the canopy breaks, the floor gets sun and the plants that need it arrive: flowering herbs, resinous young conifers, warm dry grass, moss on the wet edge.
A glade is therefore a small, dense, self-contained fragrance with an edge you can walk across. It is also the part of a forest that changes most in a day, because it is the part that heats and cools.
The method
One clearing, read three times.
Heat decides what a glade gives up. The same square of ground is a different composition at first light, at full sun, and after the light goes. ScentGlade treats the hour as part of the formula rather than as a mood.
